MAINTENANCE - B&G SUPPORT- 1st Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate a wide range of power tools, and hand tools
  • Cleaning the facility, painting, maintaining docks and doors
  • Operating equipment such as a forklift, and lawn equipment
  • Perform good housekeeping practices in all work areas – maintain a clean and safe work are, clean up after job is complete
  • Order and maintain unnecessary inventory of supplies
  • Assist in other mechanical duties as required
  • Adhere to all safety procedures including LLT, ladder safety, chemical storage and handling
  • Duties also include any task required/assigned by managers, supervisors or leads
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building to ensure compliance with FDA regulatory and food safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building, building systems, and equipment.
  • Implement and monitor janitorial programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Collaborate daily with the food safety and quality assurance team representatives to address any non-compliance issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of FDA policies and procedures related to facility conditions.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
  • Ensure paper products and consumables are stocked at individual distribution points as well as at shelf-level.
  • Utilize tablet to respond to and close open action items related to facility maintenance
Qualifications: Experience
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of FDA standards and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Knowledge of painting, plumbing, carpentry, metal fabrication and masonry repair
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Physical Capacities
  • Must be willing and able to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, kneel, and reach.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
Qualities:
  • Must demonstrate excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety and attendance.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well with others.
  • Highly motivated and ability to work well without supervision.
  • Good customer service and time management skills
