Job summary

Saddle Creek Logistics Services is seeking a Maintenance Associate for the Fri-Sun 4:00PM-4:30AM shift at the Haslet location. The role involves routine and preventive maintenance of the Distribution Center building, with duties spanning painting, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

You will support dock equipment, fixtures, and grounds keeping as part of a collaborative warehousing team. The successful candidate has at least one year in a related maintenance role, HS diploma or GED, and

Qualifications

• One year experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more basic building maintenance trades or in a warehouse distribution operation.
• Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including off-shift hours and weekend assignments.
• Must be able to operate a forklift, boom lift, light truck and other related motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative maintenance and inspections on the Distribution Center building.
• Maintain and repair dock equipment such as dock levelers, locks and doors.
• Assist with basic building maintenance tasks including painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith and mechanics.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and construction work for furniture, shelving, and other structures.
• Keep warehouses and shelving orderly and clean; report hazards and unsafe conditions.

Assists in various maintenance and warehouse department functions and tasks and assists the Warehouse Worker/Maintenance in the performance of various duties. Performs variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, plumbing, minor electrical, other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing the building.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance necessary to building exterior/interior.* Maintenance and Repair of Dock Equipment (dock levelers, dock locks and doors)* Assists and performs semi-skilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the Distribution Center building.* Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith and mechanics.* Assists and performs functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards, racks and a variety of other structures and items.* Maintains warehouse, shelving and racks in clean and orderly conditions.* Inspect properties and communicate with Supervisor regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.* Perform general grounds keeping on a daily basis; inspect outside of Distribution Center areas, ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in a safe condition.* Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs racks; performs custodial duties as required.* May perform weekly, monthly and quarterly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.**QUALIFICATIONS*** One year experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades and/or one year experience in a warehouse distribution operation.* Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools* Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.* Must be able to operate a forklift, boom lift, light truck and other related motorized equipment.**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE*** High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)* 1 year of related employment in the building maintenance.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*** Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects.* Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases.* Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching, bending at the waist.
