Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Associate in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for washing and detailing all fleet vehicles, ensuring their professional appearance and cleanliness. Your duties will include cleaning and sanitizing interiors, inspecting for cleanliness issues, and maintaining detailing areas. Our Fleet Maintenance Associate plays a key role in keeping our vehicles looking professional, safe, and road‑ready. This position is responsible for washing, detailing, and maintaining the cleanliness of all fleet units, ensuring each vehicle reflects our company’s high standards. From interior clean‑outs to exterior washes, this role supports the overall health and appearance of the fleet and helps keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular exterior washing and interior detailing of all fleet vehicles to maintain a clean, professional appearance.
  • Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including dashboards, seats, floors, and cargo areas.
  • Remove trash, debris, and personal items from vehicles after use.
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness issues, cosmetic damage, or items needing attention, and report findings to supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of wash bays, detailing areas, and cleaning equipment.
  • Refill cleaning supplies, chemicals, and materials; notify management when inventory is low.
  • Operate pressure washers, vacuums, and other cleaning tools safely and correctly.
  • Assist with basic upkeep tasks such as checking fluid levels, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring vehicles are presentable for service or dispatch.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company cleaning standards.
  • Support the fleet maintenance team with additional tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Experience with Fleet detailing/polishing aluminum buff paint
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, lift, crawl, pull, bend, and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to lift and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Good hearing and vision required for safety and operational tasks.
