Job summary

American Senior Communities in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the community’s physical plant and grounds, ensuring a safe, attractive living environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will support the Maintenance Supervisor, perform basic electrical, heating and cooling tasks as needed, bring a positive presence to residents, and work as part of a team to sustain high care standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in routine upkeep of the community’s facilities and grounds.
  • Maintain safety and aesthetics of the physical plant for residents, staff and visitors.
  • Assist with basic electrical, heating and cooling tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive, resident-focused environment through dependable service.

Maintenance Assistant Opportunity at Coventry Meadows Assisted Living

Part-time!

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds ensuring a safe, attractive and enjoyable living environment for our residents, staff and the public.

Skills Needed:

  • Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to provide maintenance services.
  • Supportive Presence: Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, RelationshipsandExcellence
  • Prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in electrical, heating and cooling helpful.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
