Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Lead at the St. Gertrude Campus, covering a church, school, and parish spaces in Washington, MO.

You will perform custodial duties, assist with light repairs, yard work, and report hazards. Training is provided; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic tools in varying weather conditions. Flexible hours and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with custodial duties is a plus, but will train.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies or off-hour requests.

Responsibilities

• Assist with janitorial duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal when needed.
• Ensure public areas such as restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and entrances are clean and in good repair.
• Assist the Maintenance Lead with light repair and maintenance projects.
• Grass cutting and Groundskeeping as needed. Experince with 0-Turn lawn mowers a plus.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards or needed repairs
