Job summary

NHC HealthCare Lexington in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep patient and resident areas safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. This hands-on role covers indoor and outdoor work, routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and project support.

You will inspect facilities, assist in planning repairs and new installations, perform groundskeeping, and respond to on-call maintenance during weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and local codes.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor/indoor work in all weather.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant – NHC HealthCare Lexington

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Inspect, care for, maintain, and repair facility property, grounds, and equipment.

What You Bring (Requirements & Skills)

Strong working knowledge of standard maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, including their proper care and safe usage.

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb depending on the project. Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving.

Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
