Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Village of Lynbrook, NY to help maintain a safe, clean, and well‑functioning community for residents, families, and team members. You will complete maintenance tasks, perform basic repairs, assist with painting and refurbishing, and support HVAC and other mechanical systems.

The role includes preventative maintenance, safety checks, tool and inventory management, making-ready suites, and following OSHA and infection-control standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned

Pay Range:

20.00 - 25.05
