Job summary

Kadima Healthcare Group in the United States seeks a versatile maintenance technician to perform painting, wall repairs, carpentry, electrical and plumbing work across resident living areas.

You will follow the Maintenance Director's schedule, handle preventative maintenance, respond to urgent tasks, and coordinate with nursing staff to maintain a safe, compliant environment in long-term care facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience performing facility maintenance tasks in a care environment is useful.
• Ability to follow maintenance schedules and work with the Maintenance Director.
• Comfort coordinating with nursing staff during daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility by painting, repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings and windows.
• Helps coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Follows maintenance schedule/instruction from Maintenance Director as outlined in established maintenance policies and procedures.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
• Completes maintenance request slips and submits to Maintenance Director.
• Performs maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., as directed.
• Preventative maintenance
• May have to perform unscheduled or emergency tasks
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Purpose: Implement required maintenance procedures in an efficient cost effective manner meeting all federal, state, and local requirements while providing a safe environment for our residents.

• Maintains facility by painting, repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings and windows.

• Helps coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.

• Follows maintenance schedule/instruction from Maintenance Director as outlined in established maintenance policies and procedures.

• Performs routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed.

• Completes maintenance request slips and turns them into Maintenance Director.

• Performs maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, sweeping, etc., as necessary or directed.

• Preventative maintenance

• May have to perform unscheduled or emergency tasks

• Other duties as assigned.

Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required
