Golfcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to help keep our long-term care, nursing home, and rehabilitation center safe and well-maintained. The role involves routine repairs, system upkeep, and adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare facility maintenance experience, and the ability to complete required training and orientation. A drug test and background check are part of the hiring process.

• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance is a plus.
• Completion of a training and competency evaluation program is required.
• Orientation completion per company policy is required.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Background check confirming absence of disqualifying criminal activity.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to the job.
• Proof of identity and eligibility for employment within three days of hire.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment in our long-term care, nursing home, and rehabilitation center settings. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs, maintaining building systems and equipment, and ensuring the facility remains in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive upkeep on facility equipment and systems

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents

• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems in good working order

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address safety hazards

• Complete forms, reports, logs, and records related to maintenance activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Experience in facility maintenance, especially in a healthcare or long-term care setting, is a plus!

• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required

• Completion of orientation required by company policy

• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment

• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire

• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check

• Become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job

• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment
