Palace Entertainment is a leading leisure park operator overseeing more than 25 venues across the US and Australia, including notable parks like Kennywood and Dutch Wonderland.

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting with daily inspections, general maintenance, and repairs of rides, buildings, and equipment throughout Idlewild and Soakzone.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintenance services across the park, including rides, water attractions, and grounds.
• Perform repairs and upkeep of park property and structures.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry repairs, and understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Operate heavy equipment and motor vehicles safely.
• Perform landscaping duties as assigned.
• Support preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Assist with ride operation, maintenance, and cleanup.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• 1+ years of maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and speak fluent English; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with tools and systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.

Physical & Working Conditions:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting over 75 pounds, working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
• Work may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, and working at heights over 50 feet.
