4K Housing’s Stoney Brook of Copperas Cove is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Assistant to perform routine upkeep, repairs, and make-ready tasks in a senior living community. You will handle maintenance work orders, coordinate with supervisors, and assist contractors to keep facilities safe and welcoming.

The role requires basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, along with the ability to read manuals and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience using hand and electric tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant resident rooms.
• Coordinate special projects as directed by Supervisor.
• Monitor work by outside contractors as instructed by Supervisor.
• Carry pager/cell phone for on-call maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Perform cleaning tasks as directed by Supervisor.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Ensure garden/yard upkeep as scheduled.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
• Report safety or maintenance issues to leadership.

Stoney Brook of Copperas Cove has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team. TheMaintenance Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the physical assets of the community by performing upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning, applying basic repair(s) to equipment and building systems and ensuring the facilities are tidy and functional.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• On call on an “as needed” basis.
• Includes holidays on rotation

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance work orders as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant resident room as directed by the Supervisor.
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Supervisor.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Carry pager/cell phone as required for on-call maintenance and perform 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc. as directed by the Supervisor.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Ensures garden/yard upkeep (i.e., mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.) as scheduled or as otherwise instructed by the Supervisor.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, paint, minor plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, minor HVAC.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation).
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm).
• Report to the Director of Plant Operations, Manager on Duty and/or Executive Director any safety or maintenance issues.
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
