Job summary

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice in Saint Petersburg, FL. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will receive on-the-job training to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial equipment including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyors and boilers, and operate wastewater treatment systems.

This training position prepares you for advancement upon program completion. You will perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping, follow health and safety policies, and develop

• Basic mechanical knowledge demonstrated by maintenance background.
• Able to stand for up to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Skills/Qualifications

• General knowledge and skills that demonstrates good mechanical background

• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

• Maintenance knowledge - sufficient formal or informal training to perform the duties of this position
• Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, and military experience is acceptable
• Experience with formalized safety programs preferred, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, OSHA Awareness, Technical School Courses or Ladder Safety
