HOERBIGER Automatisierungstechnik Holding GmbH in the United States seeks a Maintenance Tech A for first shift (Wed–Sun, 6:45am–3:15pm) to keep our two plants running efficiently. You will perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on injection molding and CNC machinery to ensure high-quality parts and uptime.

You will diagnose problems, document maintenance activities, and coordinate with supervisors and technicians to prioritize work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of equipment maintenance experience with troubleshooting from operators, manuals, and alarm codes.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC logic, hydraulics, and pneumatics; CNC repair and maintenance; ability to read electrical measurements with a meter.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix maintenance requests to prevent downtime and ensure production continuity.
• Maintain records for data-driven analysis and reporting.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance work orders to minimize unexpected failures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and fellow technicians to prioritize critical equipment.
• Collaborate with external experts when needed to ensure quality repairs.

Your Mission

As a Maintenance Tech A, working 1st Shift 6:45am to 3:15pm Wednesday thru Sunday, your role is to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our production facilities. This vital role involves performing routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on equipment and facilities across our two plants. By maintaining high standards of precision and reliability in our injection molding and CNC machinery, the Maintenance Tech A supports the production of high-quality parts, contributing to our overall success and commitment to excellence.

How you will make a difference

• Effective Problem-Solving: By reviewing all maintenance work requests and diagnosing complex problems, you will address and fix issues promptly, preventing extended equipment downtime and ensuring production continuity.
• Communication and Coordination: You will have effective communication with supervisors on priorities ensures that the most critical equipment gets attention first. Collaborating with other team members and external experts will enhance the quality of repairs and maintenance.
• Data-Driven Maintenance: Keeping meticulous maintenance records to provide valuable data for analysis and reporting, allowing for informed decision-making and identifying patterns or recurring issues that can be proactively addressed.
• Preventive Maintenance: Executing and planning preventive maintenance work orders helps to minimize unexpected breakdowns, reducing overall maintenance costs and ensuring the longevity of the machinery.
• Collaborative Efforts: Balancing perseverance with timely calls for support when needed ensures that repairs are effective and efficient, leveraging the collective knowledge and skills of the team to maintain high operational standards.
  

What you should be good at

• Experience and Expertise: Minimum of five years of experience in equipment maintenance and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex machine issues using input from operators, technical manuals, and alarm codes.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC logic, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Skilled in CNC equipment repair and maintenance. Ability to read electrical voltage, resistance, and amperage with a meter. Proficient in sheet metal fabrication and welding. Knowledge in machine alignment..
• Machining Background: Familiarity with machining processes and tools is a plus.
• Analytical and Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and proficient in using measuring instruments like calipers, indicators, micrometers, and plug gauges.
• Safety and Operational Skills: Knowledge of industrial plant safety protocols. Ability to operate an industrial lift truck and Competence in both metric and imperial measurement systems.
