Job DetailsMulti-Site Maintenance Technician

Position: Multi-Site Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance / Operations

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Operations / Executive Leadership

Position Summary

The Multi-Site Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, appearance, and overall condition of multiple senior living communities. This position travels between assigned locations to complete preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, troubleshooting, and facility improvement projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-focused, and able to independently prioritize maintenance needs across multiple properties while responding appropriately to urgent situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple senior living communities.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, doors, locks, lighting, and other facility equipment.
  • Perform minor drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and cosmetic repairs.
  • Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor areas, and maintenance spaces.
  • Prepare resident rooms for new move-ins, including repairs, painting, touch-ups, fixture replacement, and safety checks.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and correct or report them immediately.
  • Assist with fire and life-safety inspections and ensure exits, emergency lighting, doors, and safety equipment remain accessible and operational.
  • Monitor facility systems and report significant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, or safety concerns to management.
  • Coordinate with approved outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance supplies, and inventory in an organized and safe manner.
  • Document completed work orders, pending repairs, materials needed, and follow-up items.
  • Communicate regularly with community leadership regarding maintenance priorities and project status.
  • Travel between assigned company locations based on operational needs.
  • Assist with furniture assembly, equipment installation, deliveries, moving furniture, and facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain exterior areas and address minor landscaping or property appearance concerns when necessary.
  • Follow company policies, OSHA/safety practices, and applicable assisted living facility requirements.
  • Maintain professionalism and respect when working around residents, families, employees, and visitors.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation or respond to emergency maintenance situations when required.
  • Perform other maintenance and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in general maintenance, apartment maintenance, senior living, hospitality, healthcare facilities, construction, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine when a licensed or specialized contractor is required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple locations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel between assigned communities.
  • Must be dependable and able to respond appropriately to urgent maintenance needs.
  • Experience working in Assisted Living, Memory Care, healthcare, or senior living environments is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

The Multi-Site Maintenance Technician is expected to maintain a proactive approach to facility maintenance. The goal of this position is not only to repair problems when they occur, but also to identify and address potential issues before they affect resident safety, comfort, or community operations.
