Job summary

Piworld is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic in Park Ridge, IL for the 2nd shift. You will perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, and work with production teams to keep operations running smoothly.

In this direct hire role, you’ll maintain documentation, follow safety standards, and mentor junior technicians while driving continuous improvement to increase reliability and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify equipment needs, resolve operational issues, and maintain efficient workflows.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards when performing maintenance tasks.
• Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, parts, and tools, coordinating replenishment as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and other team members.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and overall production performance.

Pay Rate: $24–$43 per hour, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities
