Job description

Hour House is seeking to fill a Maintenance position.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. With core skills in English, mechanical knowledge, and facilities maintenance, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to keep our operations running efficiently. Your premium skills in programmable logic controllers and welding will be valuable in troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Additionally, your relevant skills in residential painting, customer service, and leadership will contribute to maintaining a safe and functional work environment. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required for this role. Join us and play a key role in maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers and welding equipment as needed.
  • Supervise maintenance tasks and coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance-related inquiries and concerns.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, regulations and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to effectively present information on a one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measure, volume, area, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registration Requirements: The employee must have a valid Illinois Driver's License and maintain a good driving record.

Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, required to walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Other abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, hearing, and speech.

The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
