Job summary

AHEPA Senior Living is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to keep our housing community well-maintained and inviting for residents and families in Fairhope, AL. This role emphasizes reliability, safety, and strong teamwork to support seniors and staff.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or higher, hands-on maintenance or janitorial experience, and the ability to travel for training. Strong communication and computer skills are valued. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher education required.
• Technical school or equivalent maintenance, janitorial or grounds keeping experience.
• Maintenance crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall repairs, painting, and HVAC preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer and technical skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel for training.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean and orderly housing property, and performing janitorial duties as necessary.
• Make repairs as necessary, and ensure all systems and equipment are in good working order.
• Inspecting the housing property routinely and evaluating the physical condition.

As a part-time Maintenance technician, you’ll provide top notch services to the housing community by:

• Maintaining a clean and orderly housing property, and performing janitorial duties as necessary.
• Demonstrating the ability to make repairs as necessary, and ensure all systems and equipment are in good working order.
• Inspecting the housing property routinely and evaluating the physical condition.

The Maintenance/Janitorial position is part-time, 20 hours a week.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• High School Diploma or higher education.
• Technical school or equivalent maintenance, janitorial or grounds keeping experience
• Maintenance crafts, janitorial, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall repairs, painting, and HVAC skills a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to travel as necessary for training
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to be flexible and receptive to diverse population
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
