Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Dixon, IL. This full-time position involves maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills are essential, with experience reading blueprints and working safely with lockout/tagout procedures. Competitive pay supports growth within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial maintenance in manufacturing or food manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of aseptic processing is a plus.
• Good attendance and work history.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.
• Install, set up, and maintain equipment from blueprints or work orders with minimal supervision.
• Operate machine shop equipment; perform welding, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pump repairs.
• Respond to emergency downtime situations to minimize production delays.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintain legible maintenance records.
• Train and assist other maintenance personnel.

Job Description:

This position could include 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Experience in manufacturing utilities (boilers, wastewater treatment, cooling systems) a plus.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility equipment and systems. This role requires strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.
• Install, set up, and maintain equipment following blueprints, sketches, verbal instructions, or written work orders with minimal supervision.
• Operate and maintain machine shop equipment; perform welding, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pump repairs as needed.
• Respond efficiently and calmly to emergency downtime situations to minimize production delays.
• Follow and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures and safety regulations
• Maintain legible and accurate maintenance records.
• Train and assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
