Job summary

Clay-Battelle Health Services Association is seeking a Maintenance staff member responsible for the upkeep and hygiene of the facilities. The role reports to the Office Supervisor and focuses on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other essential systems.

The candidate will keep records, schedule evaluations, and ensure safe, efficient operation of all building elements. Responsibilities include implementing monitoring for early problem detection, coordinating material orders with the supervisor,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months related experience or training accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment conditions and systems.
  • Create a schedule for regular evaluation of facilities.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are working properly.
  • Create monitoring systems to detect problems early.
  • Initiate interventions to solve facility problems.
  • Develop a system for cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities.
  • Ensure safety from fire, flood and other hazards.
  • Maintain efficiency and good working conditions of facilities.
  • Coordinate with Office Supervisor on materials to be ordered.
  • Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, and grounds (mowing).
  • Maintain grounds, parking areas, and sidewalks.

Description

The Maintenance position is responsible for the overall maintenance and hygiene of CBHSA's facilities and is directly responsible to the Office Supervisor.

Job Duties (Includes, but is not limited to)
  • Assess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of the condition of the equipment and other systems in the building.
  • Create a schedule of regular evaluation of the facilities.
  • Ensure that all the equipment and other facilities are working properly.
  • Create monitoring systems or programs in the institution to detect problems as early as possible.
  • Initiate interventions to solve problems in the facilities.
  • Develop a system for cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities.
  • Ensure the safety of the building or establishment from fire, flood and other hazards.
  • Maintaining the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities.
  • Coordinate with the Office Supervisor on materials needing ordered.
  • Maintain the parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Maintain the grounds, i.e. mowing.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Education of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
