Job summary

Clayton Homes in Belton, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to sustain plant equipment and facilities, ensuring reliable operation and preventive maintenance. You will analyze mechanical issues, coordinate with contractors, monitor production equipment, and maintain thorough documentation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, with hands-on welding, hydraulics, pneumatic, fabrication, and electrical skills, plus the ability to lift 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance related field.
• Hands-on experience in welding, hydraulics, pneumatic, fabrication, and electrical operations.
• Must be able to walk, climb, lift at least 50 lb. and perform physical duties.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conducts analysis of mechanical and operational problems on facility equipment; plan and implement corrective action.
• Represents the company with outside contractors, vendors, and consultants for facility maintenance.
• Oversee monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation via routine inspections.
• Assist in creating and implementing preventative maintenance programs for production equipment.
• Maintain documentation and tool/equipment history; inspect and replace as needed.
• Maintain organization of maintenance repair areas and related production spaces.
• Perform fabrication, welding, design tasks and other duties to support operations.
