Job summary

Center Point Healthcare and Rehab in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a Maintenance Technician. You will handle routine preventative maintenance, assist with furniture and equipment moves, and monitor alarms and gauges to keep the facility safe and comfortable.

This role supports the Maintenance Director and requires a high school diploma; prior maintenance experience is preferred and familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler operations is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in air conditions, heating, ventilating, electrical, and plumbing, boiler and chiller operations preferred.
• Nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor and building repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Assists with routine testing of equipment, alarms, safety systems and other items required to promote a safe and comfortable environment.
• Completed exterior building maintenance.
• Supports facilities manager in environmental and safety support activities.
• Completes maintenance checks monthly as defined.
• Performs equipment assembly and troubleshooting as required.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine preventative maintenance, assistance with furniture and equipment moves, routine testing of equipment, alarms, and gauges, landscape care and support to the Maintenance Director in environmental and safety support activities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Some experience in air conditions, heating, ventilating, electrical, and plumbing, boiler and chiller operations, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Nursing home experience preferred

Duties:

• Performs floor and building repairs
• Performs preventative maintenance as assigned
• Assists with routine testing of equipment, alarms, safety systems and other items required to promote a safe and comfortable environment.
• Completed exterior building maintenance
• Supports facilities manager in environmental and safety support activities
