Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Site Safety Leader for a Texas-based project in Pasadena. You will head safety programs, ensure OSHA 1910/1926 compliance, and drive a strong safety culture on site.

You will oversee investigations, training, and regulatory reporting, while partnering with project leadership to implement safety policies and improve performance. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 regulations.
• Experience managing industrial or construction safety programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to build relationships and influence both craft professionals and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer site safety programs and processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926, OSHA 1910, client requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct and oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Manage new hire orientations, safety training, refresher training, and regulatory compliance programs.
• Support project management in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and identify trends to improve site performance.
• Assist with workers' compensation matters, regulatory inquiries, and compliance reporting.
• Support emergency response planning, fire prevention programs, and safety meetings.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to site safety personnel and project supervision.
• Promote employee engagement and proactively address safety concerns in the field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Former Zachry employee.
• Formal construction, technical, or trade school education.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working in industrial environments.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary.
• Ability to work around heavy equipment, elevated work areas, and active construction operations.
