Job summary

NTT DATA North America in Addison, TX is seeking a Mainframe Vantage Programmer to work onsite 4 days a week. The role involves building Life products in the Policy Administration System for a major Insurance client and requires strong COBOL/JCL/DB2 development skills and domain knowledge.

The position emphasizes delivering technical solutions, leading a team, and supporting SIT/UAT and production rollouts in an evolving mainframe environment. Onsite presence in Addison is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Vantage experience
• 5+ years of TRAD whole life/Universal life product development
• 8+ years development experience using COBOL, JCL, DB2

Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings to understand requirements and provide technical solutions to build Life products in Policy Administrative Systems
• Build Life Product features on Vantage policy administration system
• Create plans from scratch using Product Wizard, with understanding of traditional life products, system migrations, and conversions
• Document customer requirements and analyze business processes and procedures
• Research and document technical changes per client requirements, identifying dependencies
• Provide technical guidance and lead the team to meet product deliverable timelines
• Perform code and design reviews to ensure deliverables meet project guidelines
• Test changes across scenarios and evaluate results to ensure expected outcomes
• Support SIT, UAT and production rollouts
• Timely resolution of testing issues and obstacles
