Job summary

InterSources Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Mainframe Tester to develop and execute test scenarios for Medicaid-related applications. This remote role focuses on validating COBOL/MVS changes, JCL, and integration with broader healthcare systems.

You will collaborate with development teams, document testing activities, and support UAT as needed. A strong background in mainframe testing and formal QA practices is required, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Mainframe systems.
• 4+ years of experience with MVS COBOL.
• 4+ years of experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
• 4+ years of experience with Software Testing.
• 4+ years of experience creating Test Scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test plans for mainframe-based Medicaid applications.
• Perform functional, system, integration, and business interface testing as applicable to project requirements.
• Test software coding changes involving Medicaid systems and related data.
• Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and investigate differences between expected and actual outcomes.
• Collaborate with development teams and project stakeholders to resolve testing issues.
• Support client with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Coordinate testing activities with internal users, external healthcare providers, and trading partners as needed.
• Prepare and maintain business, process, and technical testing documentation.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.
• Collaborate with Clemson University staff and other contracted project resources.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities
