Job summary

Highbrow LLC is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to join our on-site team in Milwaukee, WI (or Lincoln, NE). You will design, develop, and test mainframe solutions using COBOL and modern tooling to support banking product strategies.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in mainframe development, strong GIT experience, and proficiency with TDD, Agile/DevOps, and software design patterns. This long-term W2 role offers a challenging environment and opportunities to impact critical financial software.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in application development.
• Experience with iSeries, Unisys, and/or other mainframe technologies.
• Experience with mainframe development languages such as Cobol.
• Experience with source management tools including GIT or similar tools.
• Agile and/or DevOps experience.
• Knowledgeable in industry standard software design patterns, development, data modelling, and SOLID principles.
• Knowledgeable in test driven development (TDD) and automated functional testing including tools like UFT, Postman, and Selenium.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical specifications, and the motivation to achieve best-in-class results.
