Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a seasoned Mainframe Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance critical mainframe applications. You will work with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DB/DC and CA7 to support production environments and ensure reliable, secure operations.

You’ll lead projects within the MPIM product line, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help deliver modernization efforts across global supply chain IT initiatives, while upholding Ford IT

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software delivery experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• IBM Mainframe technical skills and knowledge, including: IMS DB/DC, COBOL, CA7, DB2.
• Familiarity with systems development life-cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and enhancements within the MPIM product line, primarily supporting CMMS within the Supply Chain IT Product group.
• Maintain production-support service levels, monitor product health, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of ICA and PCAs while meeting Ford security, legal, and policy requirements.
• Deliver enterprise initiatives, including MMP, supply chain modernization, IERP, regulatory requirements, joint-venture commitments, and technology refreshes.
• Collaborate with PDOs and MP&L stakeholders to deliver fit-gap analysis, development, UAT, training, and launches on schedule.
• Align IT strategies with Material Planning & Logistics processes and enterprise solutions such as MMP and IERP.
