Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced QA leader to develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with our product vision and business goals. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define quality standards, testing methodologies, and best practices, and analyze code coverage to increase testing across product features.

You will champion code coverage, drive robust CI/CD pipelines, and promote a test‑first approach within a self‑directed Agile team.

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe storage products (CA 1 Flexible Storage, Vtape, DASD) and DFSMS.
• QA automation tools experience and maintaining QA testing infrastructures.
• Experience on z/OS (including USS and SMP/E), Linux, and VMware platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies using automation tools.
• Cloud Storage technologies experience is a plus.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools.
• Experience with mainframe and open systems languages.
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and deployment automation.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and trends.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in Mainframe software development or related field with Mainframe architectures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with CA 1 Flexible Storage, Vtape, DASD Storage Management, DFSMS, Allocate, and/or other mainframe storage products and systems.
• Experience with QA automation tools and maintaining QA testing infrastructures.
• Experience across various platforms, including z/OS (including USS and SMP/E), Linux, and VMWare (VCF/vSAN) platforms.
• Knowledge and related product expertise in CI/CD methodologies using automation tools.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies, particularly Cloud Storage solutions, is a plus.
• Experience with performance monitoring and tools.
• Additional experience in one or more mainframe and open systems languages.
• Experience with virtualization tools like Swarm, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and tools related to automating the deployment and management of containerized applications.
• Open to learning new technologies and languages, following new trends, and continuous innovation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or global equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe software development or a related field with Mainframe architectures, system internals, testing, and utilities.
