Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe QA Consultant to support healthcare applications for a contract engagement in Cincinnati.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of mainframe-based systems that support healthcare operations, claims, eligibility, and member data.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of Mainframe healthcare applications


• Analyze healthcare business requirements and translate them into test cases and test scenarios


• Execute functional, system, regression, and UAT testing


• Validate batch processing, online transactions, and data feeds


• Perform data validation using DB2 and SQL


• Test claims processing, eligibility, enrollment, provider, and member data


• Validate HIPAA-compliant data handling


• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution


• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and healthcare SMEs


• Prepare test execution reports and defect metrics

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Mainframe QA / Testing experience


• Strong hands-on experience with:


• Experience in Healthcare domain (Claims, Enrollment, Eligibility, Provider, Member systems)


• Experience with batch and online testing


• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations


• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments


• Experience with tools like ALM / Quality Center / JIRA
