IBM in New York is seeking a technologically curious intern to join the Z WSC Advisory team, focusing on z/OS communications server workstreams. You will gain exposure to enterprise-class systems, IBM Z labs, and real client environments while developing foundational thought leadership.

The role offers a structured internship with hybrid work, opportunities to collaborate across IBM z/OS, networking, and security domains, and a path toward expertise in mainframe subsystems and client-facing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; working toward Bachelor's in related field acceptable.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client environments and deliver tailored technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with development teams to address client requests.
• Engage with formal support resources on priorities and issues.
• Support account teams in network-specific engagements.
• Design and run communications server enablement workshops.
• Develop client education materials for IBM Z events.
• Design comm server-related labs for clients and teams.
• Manage workflow of projects using approved PM tools.
• Contribute to client education and nurture pathways for z/OS Communications Server.
