Job summary

IPolarity LLC is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join our team in Chandler, AZ. The role involves maintaining and enhancing mainframe applications, deploying changes, and collaborating across teams to ensure reliability and security.

You will work with COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and ASSEMBLER on multiple LPARs, while also leveraging Java, Angular/React, Spring Boot, and Oracle DBaaS for related web components. Familiarity with Agile, JIRA, and ServiceNow will help drive efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in mainframe development and deployment environments.
• Strong debugging and diagnostics skills for complex issues.
• Ability to collaborate with external vendors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop new code for enhancements and new features.
• Perform problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex issues.
• Analyze and observe trends with technical issues and develop long term improvements.
• Communicate status of issue resolution to internal customers.
• Work with external vendors when necessary.
• Understand existing application in-depth and apply the knowledge for application support.
• Lead moderately complex projects and participate in more complex initiatives.
• Solve complex technical and operational problems.
• Comply with internal risk reduction processes such as RISE / Vulnerability management.
• Perform scheduling support via BAU change control process.
