Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a skilled professional to manage mainframe tasks with a focus on SA + NetView Administration and REXX Programming. You will be responsible for configuring automation tables and controlling the lifecycle of managed resources within a sysplex environment.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong skills in updating IPL/shutdown automation and managing incidents on z/OS issues. Preference will be given to those with excellent understanding of System z architecture and IBM z/OS operating systems.

Qualifications

• Strong Rexx programming knowledge is essential.
• Experience managing incidents on z/OS related issues.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Need to have a good understanding of mainframe concepts around starting and stopping of tasks
• Proficient with SA+NetView administration creating/identifying/updating the PDB database.
• Configure NetView automation tables, message processing, and command lists
• Controlling the lifecycle of the managed resources start, start, restarting of tasks.
• Should have knowledge of the STC required and configuring the same for SA + NetView.
• Should have strong Rexx programming knowledge
• Should be able to understand and update the IPL/shutdown automation.
• Work with operation/sysprog teams to identify use cases for automation and automate them.
• Experience with managing SA+NetView in a sysplex environment
• Experience with integrating SA+netview with other tools like IzWS, Omegamon
• Excellent understanding of System z architecture
• Excellent experience with IBM z/OS operating system
• Experience in building Mainframe LPAR and OS Upgrades
• Installation of patches and fixes
• System parameters/parmlib maintenance
• Knowledge of managing the JES3 subsystem.
