Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Houston, Texas, to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that impacts patient well-being. Job Summary and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assessment: Admit and continuously assess patient's condition; provide nursing care that meets physical, psychological, and spiritual needs; notify the doctor of changes requiring attention.
  • Planning: Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care; provide patient/family teaching; coordinate transitions of care; work with other disciplines to meet specialized needs.
  • Implementation: Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies; report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader and/or physician; implement safety initiatives and protocols.
  • Evaluation: Reassess patients at appropriate intervals; notify physician to modify interventions; adjust care to meet emerging needs.
  • Report Skills: Give and receive bedside shift reports, including family participation, ensuring continuity of care for the oncoming shift.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least one (1) year of RN experience; 24 months minimum.
  • Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse: Texas, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR), within 14 days.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 months.
Location

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, a 1,045-bed facility located in Texas.

Pay Range

$35.45 - $55.36 per hour
