Responsibilities
Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution.
Examine, sort, and route mail.
Load, operate, and occasionally adjust and repair mail processing machinery.
Weigh articles to determine required postage.
Ensure addresses are legible and sufficient postage is paid.
Sort odd-sized mail by hand and segregate items requiring special handling.
Operate various types of equipment for sorting.
Bundle, label, and route sorted mail.
Load and unload mail trucks.
