Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a dedicated machine operator at our Charlotte, NC facility to set up, operate and adjust packaging and mailing equipment for printed publications. You will follow production instructions, perform adjustments to guides, rollers, inserter and weighing systems, and record production data and downtime by customer name and zip code.

Qualified candidates will have thorough knowledge of equipment setup and operation, the ability to diagnose issues, and may mentor junior

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of equipment setup and operation
• Ability to diagnose and correct operating problems
• May instruct junior operators on adjustments
• Consider symptoms, causes and remedies for corrections

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that address, weigh, and tie bundled publications for mailing
• Review instructions to determine publication type and size for mailing
• Adjust guides, rollers, inserter, weighing machine and tying arm
• Record production by customer name and zip code; log downtime
• Process and ship outgoing packages via UPS, FedEx, and DHL
