Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare patients, position them, set imaging parameters and process images. The role includes assisting in protocol development and conducting quality control on equipment.
Education requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; continued education hours must be maintained and Healthcare Provider certification is required.
Under general supervision, performs magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance imaging device, which includes preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images. Assists in developing protocol for patient studies. Performs quality control procedures on equipment.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
Healthcare Provider certification required.
(BCLS) Two (2) years of experience in Radiography is recommended but not mandatory.
Current certification with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MRI) preferred.
MRI board certification (ARRT) (MR) must be achieved within 12 months of the date of hire if:
