ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center, is a 142-bed full-service hospital located in Washington. It has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center and features a 16-bed emergency department serving approximately 25,000 patients annually. The hospital also houses the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, offering advanced chemotherapy and radiation therapy, along with general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services, and outpatient clinics.
An MRI Technologist II is qualified through professional credentialing, academic, and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care using an approved magnetic imaging scanner. The scope of practice includes procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education, demonstrated competency, and completed the ARRT (MR) registry, which is the standard practice in magnetic imaging.
