Job summary

IMDiversity Inc. is seeking a Magnet Elementary Theatre Teacher for the St. Martin Parish School District.

The role requires a Louisiana teaching certificate in theatre or related arts and a bachelor's degree in theatre or a related field. You will design developmentally appropriate theatre instruction and support a magnet arts curriculum. Qualifications

Louisiana teaching certificate in Theatre or related arts (Bulletin 746).
Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Theatre, Drama, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Arts Education, or related field.
Experience teaching theatre/drama or working professionally in theatre is preferred; elementary experience desirable.
Strong knowledge of theatre, acting, improvisation, stagecraft, dramatic literature, performance, and age-appropriate theatre instruction.
Ability to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate theatre instruction promoting creativity, communication, collaboration, self-expression, confidence, and critical thinking.
Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment for elementary students.
Ability to direct and produce student performances, including plays, showcases, musical, and community productions.
Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, teachers, administrators, and arts professionals.
Ability to recognize and develop individual student talents within a magnet arts program.
Willingness to participate in professional development, school performances, productions, and related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Fulfill duties of magnet school teaching aligned with STEAM Academy goals.
Design, plan and deliver student-centered instruction aligned with standards and district evaluation plans.
Identify student needs and collaborate with other professionals to develop plans addressing health, behavior, and learning problems.
Plan for and utilize instructional methods and assessments that motivate all students and provide timely feedback.
Collaborate with peers to enhance instructional environment through team planning and professional development.
Provide leadership and supervision for extracurricular activities and school events.
