Job summary

University Parents Nursery School is seeking an energetic Preschool Teacher to lead a class of 18 months - 2-year-olds through the school year. You will assess current academic levels and design instruction to meet both group and individual needs, in a nurturing environment.

The role requires strong teamwork with three teachers and monthly parent volunteers, and a passion for early childhood education. CPR/AED certification and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at minimum 12 units of ECE coursework.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Two years of professional experience in a childcare, daycare, or preschool settings
• Problem-solving and mediation skills
• AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred
• CPR/AED certified
• Fingerprinting and background check required

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interest of young children
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel
• Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
• Support and guide children through the potty-training process, implementing age-appropriate strategies and positive reinforcement
• Ensure a safe and clean learning environment by following essential procedures and guidelines

We are seeking an energetic, passionate, creative and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team!
