Mills Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and maintain the condition of an assigned property portfolio in Madison, SD. You will respond to residents’ maintenance requests, perform regular upkeep, and support turnover tasks to prepare units for new residents.

Ideal candidates have construction/maintenance experience and can lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and clear communication with residents and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous Construction/Maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residents’ requests for maintenance/repairs and complete any needed follow-up work in a timely manner.
• Perform maintenance and upkeep to maintain safety, comfort, and aesthetics of the properties.
• Perform all delegated maintenance repair work as directed by supervisor.
• Perform apartment turnover work to make units ready for new residents following checklists and deadlines.
• Maintain inventory.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment.
• Greet and communicate with residents onsite at the properties.
• Be available for periodic after hours calls to respond to emergencies only.
• Travel to surrounding areas to complete maintenance duties.

Our team of Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance duties each day. They are learners, troubleshooters and team players! Job Details

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible to oversee and maintain the condition of an assigned property portfolio.

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

• Responding to residents’ requests for maintenance/repairs and completing any needed follow-up work in a timely manner
• Performing maintenance and upkeep duties as necessary to maintain safety, comfort, and aesthetics of the properties
• Performing all delegated maintenance repair work as directed by supervisor
• Performing apartment turnover work to make units ready for new residents following appropriate checklists and adhering to deadlines
• Maintaining inventory
• Operating and maintaining company vehicle and equipment
• Greeting and communicating with residents onsite at the properties
• Being available for periodic after hours calls to respond to emergencies only
• Travel to surrounding areas to complete maintenance duties

Maintenance Technician will complete and follow-up on a wide variety of tasks and items as may be assigned/or necessary to fulfill job duties and oversee property maintenance. Maintenance Technician will work cooperatively and comply with all company standards, policy and procedures, and will do so professionally, consistently and safely.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.

Requirements

Previous Construction/Maintenance experience is preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders.
