Job summary

Wealthfront is seeking an economist or data scientist with macro expertise to produce public-facing economic research, datasets, and written content using first- and third-party data.

This role sits within Wealthfront’s Investment Research and Data Science team and supports the Content Team by providing insight into consumer, market, and business trends that help young professionals connect macroeconomic news with their personal finance goals.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing stock market data and key economic indicators (CPI, PPI, FRED, etc.).
• Ability to translate complex macro data into clear public-facing content.
• Comfort collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and media.”

Responsibilities

• Monitor market and macroeconomic news daily and produce timely analyses for broad audiences.
• Turn analyses into public-facing content, visualizations, and interactive tools.
• Collaborate with Comms, Social Media and Creative teams to distribute content across channels.
• Conduct media interviews and podcasts to publicize analyses.
• Support additional research efforts within Wealthfront’s Investment Research and Data Science teams.
