Connectronics in Edinburgh, Indiana is seeking motivated individuals to join as Machinist Trainees. No previous machining experience is required; you will learn from seasoned machinists and gain hands-on experience with precision machines in a manufacturing setting.

You will develop basic measurement and problem-solving skills while following safety procedures and company guidance. Training emphasizes setup and operation of various machining equipment as you grow professionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English and follow basic technical instructions.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to learn new skills and follow instructions.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with team members and experienced machinists.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate lathes, milling machines, boring machines, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Follow instructions and procedures provided by experienced machinists.
• Read and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
• Assist in machining metal and nonmetal workpieces according to specifications.
• Become familiar with machining equipment, tools, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop basic measurement, mathematical, and problem-solving skills for machining operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve.
