is currently looking for a Machinist and Tool and Die Makers to join our team!

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) is a joint venture of Worthington Enterprises and Armstrong World Industries. WAVE has established worldwide leadership in the production of suspended ceiling systems. The WAVE, Aberdeen MD facility produces metal ceiling grids that can be combined with Armstrong products to provide ceiling solutions to our customers. WAVE is currently looking for a Tool and Die Mechanic to join our team!

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: We have openings for afternoon and night shifts. We offer 10-hour shifts (Monday through Thursday) or 8-hour shifts (Monday through Friday). Some overtime may be required.

Compensation: WAVE offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and life insurances, vacation, quarterly profit sharing, and a 401(k) plan. Salary is based on knowledge and experience. The starting salary is over $75K annually, excluding overtime, and may be higher for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities for Machinist and Tool and Die Makers:

• Perform all work safely; wear required PPE and ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Troubleshoot and repair press tooling in a production manufacturing environment.
• Manufacture new and replacement tooling components from detailed drawings or verbal instructions using manual machine shop equipment such as mills, surface grinders, welders, hone, drill press, hydraulic press, etc.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
• Maintain accurate tooling records using the CMMS system.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of machine shop experience in an industrial manufacturing environment working with manual machines.
• Previous Tool & Die repair experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
