Responsibilities

• Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop for technicians and lower graded machinists.
• Independently determines appropriate maintenance procedures and estimates time, equipment, and material needs.
• Maintains plans and records; may advise supervisor on personnel actions and leave.
• Performs the full range of shop work and follows safety regulations and PPE requirements.
• Prepares for and participates in readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization, and command support exercises.
• May perform additional duties such as firefighting, security, snow removal, munitions handling, or heavy equipment operation.
