Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a skilled machinist to operate and maintain equipment for power plant maintenance. You will repair, troubleshoot, and service mechanical systems across our expansive facility network.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in heavy industrial repair with 2+ years as a machinist, the ability to read prints, and to work from heights. Pre-employment testing will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in heavy industrial mechanical repair; 2+ years machinist duties.
• Pass pre-employment tests including AECI machining tests.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn all plant components.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment for power plant maintenance.
• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and structures.
• Read prints, sketches, and technical manuals.
