Job summary

AAA-USA Inc. in Greensboro, NC seeks an experienced CNC machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC multi-axis machines, inspect parts, and ensure products meet tight tolerances.

Travel and relocation to Jupiter, FL are required; immediate placement is offered with competitive benefits and weekend shifts. A high attention to detail and strong GD&T knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of manual and CNC machining experience.
• Familiar with Fanuc controls and programming on multi-axis CNC equipment.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and email platforms.
• Experience in electronic labor tracking databases and quality systems (NADCAP/ISO 9001/AS9100).
• Detail-oriented, high energy, self-starter with ability to drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using CNC multi-axis equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, EDM).
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and calipers.
• Inspect completed components and ensure conformance to drawings using precision instruments.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machining centers for precision work.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Monitor speeds/feeds to finish parts within tolerances.
• Study parts and drawings to determine operation sequences and dimensions.
• Select tools and materials per work instructions; maintain PM schedules.
• Communicate with engineering and supervision to exchange technical information.

Essential Functions:

• Machine parts to specifications using CNC multi-axis equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders or EDM..
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Measure and visually inspect completed components in process to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments based on drawing or work instruction requirements.
• Set-up, adjust and operate all of the manual and CNC machining centers in order to perform precision machining operations.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor speed and feed rates during the machining process to complete machining efficiently and within tolerances.
• Study sample parts, drawings, or engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate product and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
• Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation for machining work based on the work instruction.
• Maintain industrial machines per the required daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance schedule.
• Confer with engineering, technical lead, supervisor, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.
• Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tooling.
• Perform cleaning requirements at the end of each shift.
• Maintain and improve 5s standards for the work-center.
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• CNC programming certification / documented training is strongly preferred.
• Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix.
• 5+ years of experience in industry with specific skills related to manual and CNC machining of multi-axis machines.
• Familiar with Fanuc Controls and has programming experience with multi-axis CNC equipment.
• Working knowledge of GD&T is required.
• Experience in computer skills to include Excel, Word, and email platforms.
• Experience in electronic labor tracking databases.
• Must be self-motivated and possess a demonstrated ability to handle multiple issues in a responsive and decisive manner.
• Experience in quality systems. Prior experience working under formal environments such as NADCAP, ISO 9001, AS9100 or other quality programs.
• Must be a detail-oriented, high energy, self-starter with the ability to drive the successful completion of projects within specified time frames.
• Strong communication skills required both verbal and electronic.
