Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Technical Manager, responsible for repairing, maintaining, fabricating, or modifying tooling and machinery to ensure all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and meets quality and production standards.

Job Duties:

• Safely operate and set up various machine tools to produce precision metal parts.
• Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments and machine parts.
• Use hand tools and machine shop equipment to shape materials and create diagrams from engineering drawings.
• Maintain tooling library and reorder parts as needed.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the work environment, complying with all policies and OSHA regulations.
• Support hazardous waste and recycling programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience as a shop machinist or tool & die maker.
• Experience with close tolerance grinding.
• Apprenticeship or post-secondary education preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Starting Pay Range: $26.22 - $29.11 per hour

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and good vision.

Work Environment: Manufacturing setting with loud noise, extreme temperatures, fumes, and dust. Hearing protection and PPE required.
