Job summary

Entegris is seeking a Machinist III to perform precision machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. You will follow blueprints and specifications, operate CNC and manual tooling, and work with 4th/5th axis mills, live tooling lathes, grinders, and saws to complete assigned jobs.

The role requires strong measurement skills, GD&T knowledge, and the ability to adjust complex CNC programs. Safety and quality are paramount in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read machine drawings and perform precision measurements.
• Experience with a CMM is a plus.
• Knowledge of advanced machining methods.
• Able to make complex code adjustments within the program.
• Experience with programming software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed blueprints, customer specs, and work instructions.
• Operate hand tools, precision measuring devices, and computer controls.
• Set up and run 4th/5th axis mills, lathes, grinders, and saws.
• Complete tasks within assigned customer jobs.
• Collaborate with programmers on new parts and fixtures.
• Create hand-typed CNC code for fixtures and part prevention.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines to ensure quality.
• Maintain on-time shipping by following weekly work schedule.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and housekeeping as needed.

Job Description:

Summary:

Perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions;

• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)

• Operate 4th & 5th axis mills, live tooling lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment;

• Complete machining tasks within a customer job;

• Make complex code adjustments within program.

• Collaborate with programmers on program/fixture creation for new parts.

• Create hand-typed CNC code (i.e., chip prevention lines, fixturing)

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products.

• Follow weekly scheduled work to track with on-time shipping.

• May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements)

• High School Diploma or equivalent;

• Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings;

• Experience using a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) a plus

• Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods;

• Ability to make complex code adjustments within program.

• Experience using programming software a plus.

• Knowledge of advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality;

• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);

• Work any shift as required to meet business needs;

• Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus;

• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.

Physical Requirements

• Completion of pre-employment physical required

• Physical requirements of the job include:

o Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.

o Capability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point grip.

o Frequent tasks will include squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing.

o Occasional work may be required in confined workspaces.

o Ability to perform hand squeezes requiring force up to 30 lbs.

o Performing repetitive tasks or motions for extended periods.

o Maintaining balance and coordination, especially when working on elevated platforms or in areas with uneven surfaces.

o Capability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or humid environments).

o Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.
