Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Machinist II in Auburn, AL to join the Couplings Division. This full-time, onsite role involves 40 hours per week with overtime to meet production demands.

You will set up, program, operate and adjust CNC and manual machines from drawings to produce replacement parts and assist with repairs. Applicants should read blueprints, operate CAD tools, manage tooling changes, and troubleshoot to meet exact tolerances while maintaining safety and quality in a loud manufacturing

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints.
• Ability to work in AutoCAD including work with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and tape measures.
• Ability to set up and operate manual lathes and other machines according to precise tolerances.
• Ability to change tooling, set up machines according to required machining sequences.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Ability to work and run your machine with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Write/edit/modify programs for CNC Machines.
• Operate CNC machines according to exact tolerances specified on engineering prints.
• Set up and operate manual lathes, saws, cutting tools, slotting tools to meet exact tolerances on engineering prints.
• Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance, including housekeeping duties as needed.
• Troubleshoot and correct operational and quality issues.
• Ensure the machine is following operational and safety guidelines.
• Meet all production standards.
• Run entire cell/area or multiple machines at a time.
• Work in a constant state of alertness with safety always a priority.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Position Overview

The Couplings Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions Segment is seeking a Machinist II in Auburn, AL. This is a full time role and will typically work 40 hours, with prescheduled overtime.

The ideal candidate will assist with the set-up, programming, operation, and adjustment of conventional or automatic machines such as Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) machines. In this role you will work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts as well as for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment and read CNC programs. Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Saturdays.
