Our client in Willoughby, OH isseeking a skilled Machinist II to join their team. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment, producing high-quality precision parts, performing machine offsets, and ensuring all work meets quality and production standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC mills and lathes, blueprint reading, tooling, inspection equipment, and precision manufacturing processes.

This role offers an opportunity to further develop machining skills while contributing to a quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain designated CNC machines to produce quality parts according to specifications.
• Perform tool length and work offsets (G54, G55, etc.).
• Use edge finders, indicators, and precision measuring equipment to establish and verify machine setups.
• Monitor tooling performance and replace worn tooling as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality requirements.
• Understand and follow all manufacturing processes, quality procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Work with a variety of materials while applying proper machining techniques and speeds/feeds.
• Set up and utilize workholding devices including vises, fixtures, clamps, and related equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement and willingness to expand machining knowledge and capabilities.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up 2-axis and/or 3-axis CNC mills and lathes.
