Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist for the 3rd shift in Sanford, NC.

Under supervision, you will support fabrication and machining of structures, operate the advanced machining center, and perform tooling setup and quality checks. This position offers pay of $26.75/hour plus 8% shift premium, a comprehensive benefits package starting Day 1, and a pathway to grow within a global manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

• At least one year of machinist experience.
• Position located in Sanford, NC.
• Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday night to Friday morning.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, supports fabrication and machining of structures.
• Uses tooling, fixtures, handling systems, safety checks, and quality inspections.
• Operates the advanced machining center following standard work instructions.
• Performs basic tool setup, maintenance, and replacement of inserts, drills, taps.
• Inspects own work with gauges and micrometers; makes small axis-offset adjustments.
• Rotates to related duties within the job function area.
